9-1-1 Master Clocks & Accessories

In 1996, NENA (the National Emergency Number Association) published the NENA-04-002 Standard for a PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) Master Clock. This Standard assures that a Master Clock (built to this Standard) is capable of interfacing with all necessary equipment within a PSAP.

With this in mind, ESE designed the ES-911/GPS™, a GPS (Global Positioning System) based "NENA" Master Clock. ESE offers several other Master Clocks that reference other sources of "legal" time. The ES-181 references the USNO (U.S. Naval Observatory) via Modem and the ES-180A references the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) via WWV. (Either the ES-181 or ES-180A are capable of meeting the NENA Standard when combined with an ES-223 Time Code Converter).
